Alejandra
Three-year-old Alejandra had trouble hearing and communicating, as she suffered from hearing loss and English was a second language in her household. Because of these issues, the family was thrilled when Alejandra was fortunate enough to receive a full tuition scholarship to the Atlanta Speech School; however, they were not going to be able to accept the scholarship and ensure Alejandra received the support she needed, as they had no way to get her to and from school. Knowing how critical early education would be in order to provide Alejandra with a foundation for her growth and success, JCCF was able to provide funding to ensure transportation was available to her. Alejandra always arrived at school on time and never missed a day that year! She is progressing academically and is speaking both English and Spanish!
